According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Shipping (600150.SH) announced that the company's holding subsidiary Guangzhou Shipbuilding International Co., Ltd. (“Guangzhou Shipbuilding International”) and China Shipbuilding Industry & Trade Co., Ltd. signed a new shipbuilding contract with a well-known shipowner for 10 8,200-vehicle LNG dual-fuel motor carriers on September 1, 2026, with a total contract amount exceeding 1 billion US dollars. Delivery is expected between 2029 and 2031.

The project fully unleashes the advantages of Guangzhou Shipbuilding International in core fields such as design and development, assembly and construction, and quality control of high-capacity Ro-Ro ships, and continues to deepen Guangzhou Shipbuilding International's performance base and brand influence in the motor carrier market segment. Due to the long execution period of the contract, the company will recognize revenue according to revenue standards, which will not have a significant impact on the company's current profit (subject to the final audit results). If the above order is successfully implemented, it will have a positive impact on the company's future revenue and profits, which is conducive to improving the company's medium- to long-term market competitiveness and profitability.
