Smart ring unicorn Oura accelerates the IPO process and introduces former Netflix and Robinhood executives to sit on the board

The Zhitong Finance App learned that smart ring manufacturer Oura is speeding up the initial public offering (IPO) process and announced on Wednesday that it will expand its board size and add four new independent directors with experience in listed companies. Oura CEO Tom Hale said in a statement that the new members have held leadership positions at well-known companies such as NFLX.US (NFLX.US), Robinhood Markets Inc. (HOOD.US), and Deliveroo Plc, and “know how to build and scale a category-defined global business.”

According to previous reports, Oura is seeking to raise up to 3 billion US dollars in a US IPO, and the listing date may be as early as this month.

New board members include:

Jason Warnick — was Robinhood's CFO for seven years, leading the online brokerage firm's business expansion after its IPO and listing. Previously, he worked at Amazon.com Inc. for nearly 20 years, responsible for finance-related matters such as investor relations, auditing, and corporate risk.

Leslie Kilgore — former Chief Marketing Officer of Netflix, has also worked for Amazon and Procter & Gamble, and has served on the boards of various companies such as Netflix and Pinterest Inc.

Miki Kuusi, co-founder of Wolt, served as CEO from the company's founding in 2014 until it was acquired by DoorDash Inc. in 2022. After the acquisition, he remained the American delivery giant and is currently the CEO of Deliveroo under DoorDash.

David Sze, a partner at Greylock Partners, has worked at Excite and Excite @Home担任高级运营职务 to focus on expanding media and consumer internet businesses. Its portfolio includes companies such as LinkedIn, Roblox, Pandora, and former Facebook.

Oura, headquartered mainly in San Francisco and Finland, submitted an IPO application confidentially in May of this year. According to reports, the company is cooperating with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan Chase, Allen & Co. and Jefferies Financial Group Inc.
