Cotton Collapses Back on Wednesday

Cotton futures posted Wednesday losses of 91 to 363 points at the close.  Crude oil was just 41 cents per barrel higher on the day, with the US dollar index down $0.112.

The Seam reported sales of 1,166 bales on 9/1 at an average price of 89.24 cents/lb. The Cotlook A index was up 100 points on Tuesday at 102.30. ICE certified cotton stocks were down 86 bales on September 1, with the certified stocks level at 63,092 bales. The Adjusted World Price was raised by another 190 points last week to 71.52 cents/lb. 

Oct 26 Cotton  closed at 86.38, down 363 points,

Dec 26 Cotton  closed at 88.93, down 262 points,

Mar 27 Cotton  closed at 91.3, down 238 points
