The Sino-Portuguese Academy of Engineering seminar on marine science and marine engineering was held on the 2nd in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Experts and scholars from the engineering institutes and marine fields of the two countries gathered to discuss Sino-Portuguese maritime cooperation. The conference focused on exchanges in the fields of marine engineering, maritime transportation, shipbuilding, port engineering, etc., focusing on marine engineering scientific and technological innovation and sustainable use of marine resources, and exchanging views on technological development and cooperation prospects in marine engineering equipment, intelligent shipping, smart ports, and marine new energy sources. During the seminar, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Portuguese Academy of Engineering also signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to push cooperation between the two institutions into a new stage of institutionalization.
