Trade Alert: Chief Financial Officer Of Loomis Johan Wilsby Has Sold Stock

Simply Wall St·09/03/2026 04:24:27
Listen to the news

We'd be surprised if Loomis AB (publ) (STO:LOOMIS) shareholders haven't noticed that the Chief Financial Officer, Johan Wilsby, recently sold kr3.4m worth of stock at kr530 per share. Equally important, that sale actually reduced their holding by a full 100% which hardly makes us feel bullish about the stock.

Loomis Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent sale by Johan Wilsby is the biggest insider sale of Loomis shares that we've seen in the last year. That means that an insider was selling shares at around the current price of kr521. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. Given that the sale took place at around current prices, it makes us a little cautious but is hardly a major concern.

The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. By clicking on the graph below, you can see the precise details of each insider transaction!

Does Loomis Boast High Insider Ownership?

For a common shareholder, it is worth checking how many shares are held by company insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Insiders own 0.3% of Loomis shares, worth about kr90m, according to our data. Whilst better than nothing, we're not overly impressed by these holdings.

So What Do The Loomis Insider Transactions Indicate?

An insider sold stock recently, but they haven't been buying. And even if we look at the last year, we didn't see any purchases. But it is good to see that Loomis is growing earnings. While insiders do own shares, they don't own a heap, and they have been selling. We'd practice some caution before buying! While it's good to be aware of what's going on with the insider's ownership and transactions, we make sure to also consider what risks are facing a stock before making any investment decision. Every company has risks, and we've spotted 2 warning signs for Loomis you should know about.

For the purposes of this article, insiders are those individuals who report their transactions to the relevant regulatory body. We currently account for open market transactions and private dispositions of direct interests only, but not derivative transactions or indirect interests.
