Nestlé to Build BRL600 Million Infant Formula Plant in Brazil

01:39 AM EDT, 09/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nestlé (NESN.SW) will begin construction of a new infant formula factory in Ituiutaba, Brazil, in 2027, Reuters reported Thursday, citing the company. The Swiss packaged food and drinks giant allocated 600 million reais to the project out of the 2 billion reais earmarked for its nutrition and health division in Brazil through 2028. Overall, Nestlé plans to invest 7 billion reais in the country between 2025 and 2028. The new plant will initially manufacture Nestogeno, Nestonutri, Ninho 1+, and Ninho 3+ infant formulas upon becoming operational in 2028. Additionally, the company aims to boost output from its existing Aracatuba industrial complex in Sao Paulo state.
