By the end of August 2026, the electricity consumption of computing power enterprises in Ningxia was 1,643 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 117.44% over the previous year; in 2025, the proportion of green electricity consumption in Ningxia data centers reached 87.6%, and the electricity price per kilowatt hour decreased by about 0.03 yuan year on year. By the end of August this year, Ningxia closely followed the development needs of the computing power industry and innovated a “win-win” mechanism to help the computing power industry increase green power consumption and reduce electricity costs. Up to now, 17 data center companies have been put into operation in Ningxia, with a maximum load of 467,200 kilowatts. Ningxia's innovative practice of computing and electricity collaboration not only establishes a green energy foundation for “East Digital and Western Computing”, but also explores practical paths that can be replicated and promoted for cross-industry collaborative development under the construction of new power systems.
