Research firm Omdia recently announced that Apple may launch a new MacBook model in the future, positioned between the LCD MacBook Air and the OLED MacBook Pro. According to Omdia's latest product roadmap, the new MacBook is likely to launch in 2029 with a single-layer OLED panel. Korean media ZDNet Korea reported in June of this year that Apple had learned about 13.8-inch notebook OLED panels from Samsung Display, Lexin Display, and BOE. At the time, it was widely believed that this panel might be related to Apple's first OLED MacBook Air. However, Omdia's current product roadmap removed the OLED MacBook Air and replaced it with the new MacBook mentioned above. Based on current news, it's hard to tell which manufacturer actually supplied this MacBook panel. However, Omdia believes this new MacBook is expected to become an important model in Apple's notebook product line.
