Overnight Stays in Swiss Hotels Up 0.5% in July, Flash Data Shows

04:35 AM EDT, 09/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Switzerland's hotel sector recorded a 0.5% year-over-year rise in overnight stays in July, according to provisional figures from the Federal Statistical Office published Friday. Hotel bookings by Swiss nationals increased 3.9% on a yearly basis, while bookings from foreigners fell 2.4%. From January to July, hotels in the country reported a 0.5% annual decrease in overnight stays.
