The project links the energy advantages of Northeast China with the demand of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei market. It is a landmark energy project that connects the two major national strategies for comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China and the collaborative development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Province. It will construct a new pattern of cross-regional green energy transmission and provide important support for the country's energy security and supply and implementation of “dual carbon” goals. The Beijingneng Daan 2×660MW thermal power peaking project launched this time is a key support section for the “Jidian Entering Beijing” project. The total investment is 6.036 billion yuan. Two 660,000-kilowatt high-efficiency ultra-supercritical peak shaking units will be built, with a design annual power generation capacity of 5.28 billion kilowatt-hours. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2029.
