Federal Pharmaceuticals (03933): UBT251 injection completed administration to participants in the first phase III clinical study of overweight/obesity in China

Zhitong Finance App News, Federal Pharmaceuticals (03933) announced that UBT251 injection, a Class 1 innovative drug independently developed by the company's wholly-owned subsidiary Federal Biotechnology (Zhuhai Hengqin) Co., Ltd. (Federal Biotechnology), has completed administration to participants in the first phase III clinical study of overweight/obesity in China.

Using a randomized, double-blind, parallel, placebo-controlled trial design, it is planned to include 600 participants in the obese (BMI ≥28.0 kg/m2) or overweight (24.0 kg/m2 ≤ BMI<28.0 kg/m2) trial with at least one weight-related complication. The aim was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of UBT251 injection in the overweight/obesity trial. The main evaluation endpoints of this study were the percentage change in body weight of participants at 52 weeks of administration compared to baseline and the proportion of participants whose body weight decreased by ≥ 5% from baseline.
