On September 4, it was reported that Abu Dhabi artificial intelligence company G42 is conducting preliminary negotiations on introducing American companies as majority shareholders. G42 was previously approved to purchase high-end AI chips without a US license until around April 2027, but to continue to receive supply, the company structure needs to be adjusted. According to reports, the plans being discussed by G42 include introducing a majority shareholding by US companies or establishing a new entity in the US. There is currently no final decision. G42's current investors include US private equity firm Silver Lake, Microsoft, and Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala.
