Wheat Bulls Taking Money Off the Table Ahead of the Long Weekend

The wheat complex is showing money flow come out ahead of the long weekend, the three exchanges facing pressure. Chicago SRW contracts are 15 to 17 cents in the red. There was just 1 delivery notice against September overnight.  KC HRW futures are  9 to 10 1/4 cents lower. MPLS spring wheat is down 14 to 15 cents so far on the session. The market will be closed on Monday for Labor Day.

A US envoy is expected to visit Russia over the weekend to discuss options for peace in the Black Sea region, though nothing has been officially scheduled. 

Export Sales data from Thursday showed US wheat export commitments for 2026/27 at 8.66 MMT, which was down 31% from the same period last year. That is also 41% of the USDA export projection and lags the 49% 5-year average pace.

Sep 26 CBOT Wheat  is at $7.41 1/4, up 5 1/4 cents,

Dec 26 CBOT Wheat  is at $7.37 1/2, down 16 3/4 cents,

Sep 26 KCBT Wheat  is at $7.98 1/2, unch

Dec 26 KCBT Wheat  is at $8.05 1/4, down 10 1/4 cents,

Sep 26 MIAX Wheat  is at $7.39 3/4, unch

Dec 26 MIAX Wheat  is at $7.49 1/4, down 16 1/4 cents,
