The Zhitong Finance App learned that the $2.3 trillion Norwegian sovereign wealth fund has proposed reducing government bond holdings and shifting capital to higher-yielding fixed income assets. Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) proposed reducing the share of government debt in the fund's bond benchmark from 70% to 50%. According to estimates, this adjustment may reduce global sovereign bond holdings by about 106 billion US dollars, of which US treasury bond holdings will be reduced by nearly 80 billion US dollars.
