Newron Pharmaceuticals Raises Additional EUR5.5 Million from Investor Group

01:44 AM EDT, 09/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Newron Pharmaceuticals (NWRN.SW) said Tuesday that it raised an additional 5.5 million euros from an investor group taking part in its 38 million-euro financing round launched in February. The biopharmaceutical company said the investor group's latest subscription for 433,070 shares at 19.24 euros apiece represents the second tranche of shares to be issued under the investment agreement. It follows the first-tranche issuance of 779,624 shares for 15 million euros. The third tranche for another 5.5 million euros is expected to be subscribed no later than Nov. 30. Newron is using the proceeds from the deal for its Enigma-TRS 1 and 2 phase 3 trials, with another 12 million euros to be received upon the release of positive results from the clinical studies.
