Kuwait Petroleum's international marketing director Sheikh Khaled Al-Sabah said the state-owned oil producer is also delivering crude oil directly to customers. He said that the company uses its own tankers and leased ships to transport oil. As more tankers find a way through the Strait of Hormuz, Kuwait's crude oil exports have recovered to nearly two-thirds of last year's average export level of 1.6 million barrels per day. Since the outbreak of the Iranian conflict in late February, the country's exports have fallen to a multi-year low.
