Thai Finance Minister Ekniti Nithampapas said that Thailand's Ministry of Finance is considering launching a 50 billion baht plan to subsidize the installation of rooftop photovoltaics for 1 million households. Ekniti told reporters on Wednesday that each household can receive a maximum subsidy of 50,000 baht, and the remaining installation costs can be covered through low-interest loans provided by state-owned banks. The Ministry of Finance plans to discuss the details of the proposal with relevant departments this Friday or early next week.
