Berenberg Upbeat on Amrize Amid Positive US Construction Demand

08:57 AM EDT, 09/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg remains optimistic on Amrize's (AMRZ.SW) growth amid expectations of continued favorable demand in the US construction industry. "Amrize's share price performance has been disappointing this year, which we think can be explained by a combination of internal factors - such as the roofing-related EBITDA downgrade at Q2 - as well as external factors such as market concerns about the impact to construction demand from higher US bond yields. While acknowledging both of these valid concerns, we keep our positive view as we continue to see the scope for robust mid-term EBITDA growth as we expect overall US construction demand to remain positive (with infrastructure and nonresidential offsetting a still weak housing market). Meanwhile, we expect pricing in the core products of cement and aggregates to remain positive," the research firm said in a construction market outlook report published Tuesday. Analysts also see the possibility of the building materials company increasing its bolt-on mergers and acquisitions to bolster its growth over the medium term, with a potential spin-off or sale of the group's roofing operations in the future. The buy recommendation on the stock and price target of $64 were both retained.
