Recently, in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert, the Hudson-Fuman Oilfield ultra-deep well 301-H4 was successfully put into operation. Technicians removed oil buried 8,000 meters deep underground. The oil was golden yellow like honey. This oil is lightweight crude oil and is an excellent raw material in petroleum refining. Internationally, wells over 4,500 meters are generally called deep wells, and wells over 6,000 meters are called ultra-deep wells. With the successful commissioning of ultra-deep 301-H4 wells, the Hudson-Fuman Oilfield has put into operation 25 ultra-deep wells this year, with a new ultra-deep production capacity of more than 300,000 tons. CNPC is cultivating a new 100 million ton ultra-deep reserve here to accelerate the process of deep exploration and development in the Taklimakan Desert.
