UniCredit, Mediocredito Centrale Launch EUR75 Million Basket Bond to Support Italian Companies

06:26 AM EDT, 09/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- UniCredit (UCG.MI) and Mediocredito Centrale launched a 75 million-euro basket bond to support investments by small and medium-sized companies in Italy. The Italian lenders' Made in Italy 2 bond program aims to facilitate capital market access for smaller companies by simplifying processes and ensuring fast execution times and low costs, according to a Thursday release. The initiative, which follows an initial 64 million-euro basket bond supporting 25 companies, will issue minibonds of up to 3.8 million euros each over 18 months to 24 months. It has already issued five minibonds totaling 12.3 million euros.
