According to a research report published by Daiwa, Haidilao's controlling shareholders reduced their holdings by 259 million shares due to their own capital needs and financial arrangements. The bank tends to interpret it as a one-off incident, believing that the relevant pressure has been removed, but in the short term, China's consumer and consumer stocks may still be affected by negative sentiment about similar matters. According to the bank, the turnover rate in August may improve on a monthly basis, but it is not necessarily a year-on-year increase; the turnover rate in September is expected to be driven by a low base, but demand for the fourth quarter of 2026 is still unclear. The bank lowered its 2026-2028 earnings forecast per share to reflect unimproved demand and sales losses, and reaffirmed the “outperforming market” rating. The target price was lowered from HK$13.2 to HK$11.3 based on average earnings per share and 12.5 times the target price-earnings ratio from 2026 to 2027.
