Stadler Rail Unit Unveils KZT14 Billion Aluminum Railcar Facility in Kazakhstan

08:17 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Stadler Rail's (SRAIL.SW) Stadler Kazakhstan is investing 14 billion Kazakhstani tenge in an automated facility focused on manufacturing aluminum railcar bodies, according to a Friday release. The project includes aluminum vehicle body welding and painting workshops, expanding the Swiss train manufacturer's existing steel car, electrical equipment, and bogie production facility in Astana, Kazakhstan. The company added that it initiated recruitment and specialist training programs ahead of the project launch.
