Aker Unit Completes Internal Share Transfer Under Planned Merger with Aker BioMarine

12:07 PM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aker ASA (AKER.OL) unit Aker Capital transferred all of its 69,065,940 shares, representing a 78.73% stake, in Aker BioMarine to Aker Capital NewCo. The internal share transfer is part of Aker ASA subsidiary Aker Capital NewCo's planned merger with Aker BioMarine, according to a Friday release. The industrial investor noted that the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority exempted the parties from the mandatory offer obligation to complete the share transfer. From the third quarter, Aker BioMarine will be part of Aker ASA's net asset value as an unlisted investment.
