From September 7 to 11, local time, Yang Wanming, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, was invited to visit Britain and Norway. During my visit to the UK, I attended the Sino-British Friendship Seminar and the China-UK Local Cooperation Roundtable, met with Scottish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Energy Gusins, Edinburgh Mayor Aldrich, Manchester Mayor Ali, and Salford Mayor Dennite, and had working exchanges with the heads of the Anglo-Chinese Association, the Anglo-China Trade Association, the Anglo-China Understanding Association, the British National Committee on China Affairs, the Scottish Chinese Association, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, and King's College London. During his visit to Norway, he attended a symposium on friendship between Chinese and Norwegian citizens and met with Bai Sina, director general of the Regional Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, and Husseimon, chairman of the Norway-China Friendship Association. All parties agreed that they will further implement the important agreements reached between President Xi Jinping and the leaders of Britain and Norway, close friendly exchanges between the people, strengthen practical local cooperation, broaden the fields and channels of cultural exchanges, and help Sino-British and Sino-Norwegian relations achieve new development and results.
