The Iraqi cabinet issued a statement saying that it has signed a development agreement with Keppt to develop oil and gas production capacity at the Agir oil field in the northern part of the country. The goal of this 25-year contract is to increase crude oil production from 30,000 barrels to 40,000 barrels per day, and to increase production of gas from 135 million standard cubic feet to 300 million standard cubic feet per day.
