The “Notice” makes it clear that from September 15, 2026, insured personnel in the city can use the balance of employees' personal health insurance accounts over the years according to regulations to pay vaccine costs and injection service fees generated by non-immunization plan vaccines in designated medical institutions; at the same time, they support the co-operation of health insurance families to further reduce the burden of vaccination on citizens and help build a healthy Shanghai. According to policy regulations, the scope of application is limited to medical institutions designated for medical insurance in the city, and the vaccines given must be included in the “Catalogue of Selected Products Purchased by the Shanghai Non-Immunization Program Vaccine Group”.
