Fujitsu announced today that it will launch the FUJITSU-MONAKA next-generation processor designed and developed in Japan globally starting November 2026. The product will sell this processor separately to cloud service providers, data center operators, and server vendors. In addition, Fujitsu will also launch a Japan-made Fujitsu MONAKA server equipped with a FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU as an autonomous and controllable AI infrastructure that combines high reliability and high energy efficiency. Since November 2026, Fujitsu MONAKA servers will be widely supplied to Japanese and European data center operators, enterprises, academic institutions, high-performance computing, and defense fields to help countries ensure national security. This processor has a maximum clock frequency of 3.8 GHz, a memory transmission rate of up to 8800 MT/s, and world-class computing power and data throughput. The CPU provides hardware acceleration for matrix operations at the core of AI inference, and can efficiently run various AI workloads such as generative AI. Relying on the technology accumulated by Fujitsu in the “Fugaku” supercomputing project, FUJITSU-MONAKA drastically reduces power consumption while maintaining high performance.
