Beazley, Zurich Insurance Group Secure Regulatory Nods for Takeover Deal

02:36 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Beazley's (BEZ.L) takeover by fellow insurer Zurich Insurance Group (ZURN.SW) is one step closer to completion as it secured the regulatory approvals required for the transaction. The company said Monday that the deal is still subject to other requirements, such as a court sanction. A court hearing is scheduled on Sept. 22. If sanctioned, the scheme of arrangement is expected to take effect on Oct. 1. The two parties agreed on the terms of the offer in March.
