03:03 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alfa Laval (ALFA.ST) received a contract from Saipem (SPM.MI) to supply heat transfer equipment for a large bioenergy carbon capture facility in Stockholm, Sweden. Saipem is the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for Stockholm Exergi's Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage project, which is designed to capture, liquefy, and permanently store up to 800,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually, according to a Monday release. The facility is expected to begin operations in 2028. The heat transfer, separation, and fluid handling technology company will supply its Ziepack gas-gas interchanger, along with several process plate-and-frame heat exchangers, for the facility.
