04:48 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AP Møller - Mærsk (MAERSK-A.CO, MAERSK-B.CO) and Hapag-Lloyd (HLAG.F) will reroute four more services under their Gemini Cooperation through the Suez Canal instead of the Cape of Good Hope. The structural changes cover the AE5, AE11, AE12 and ME2 Gemini services between Asia and Europe, adding to the AE15 and AE19 already using the trans-Suez route again, according to a Monday notice. The shipping companies said they will continue to monitor the security situation in the Middle East very closely, adding that the services remain dependent on stability in the Red Sea area and no escalation in conflicts in the region.
