09:44 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Three European banks are discussing significant risk transfer, or SRT, deals with investors tied to at least $17.5 billion in lending across various sectors, Bloomberg News reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. Banco Santander (SAN.MC, BNC.L) is reportedly working on five SRTs linked to portfolios that include commercial real estate loans and small- and mid-size enterprise financing in Brazil. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA.MC, BVA.L) is planning an SRT tied to 5 billion euros of large corporate loans and has started talks over a separate deal for lending to smaller companies. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank (DBK.F) has launched the sale of an SRT to hedge $4 billion in large corporate loans, according to the report.
