Gjensidige Forsikring Explores Potential Issuance of NOK1 Billion Tier 2 Capital Bonds

02:34 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Gjensidige Forsikring (GJF.OL) said Tuesday that it is considering the issuance of up to 1 billion Norwegian kroner of tier 2 capital bonds with a term of at least 30 years. The Norwegian insurer said the plan is subject to market conditions. The bonds, if ever issued, will have a call option after at least five years. The company secured approval from shareholders and the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority for the potential issuance. It sought the assistance of Danske Bank and DNB Carnegie to explore the issuance.
