The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Lee Ka-chiu, announced the “First Five-Year Plan for the Economic and Social Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” and immediately published the “Chief Executive's 2026 Policy Address”. Li Jiachao announced in the “Policy Address” that the West Kowloon Performing Arts Centre will open next year, with four performance venues built according to top international theatre standards, including the first “dance space” dedicated to dance art in Hong Kong. The inaugural conference presented a number of major programs, including the world premieres of large-scale productions by resident arts groups, Hong Kong premieres of internationally renowned dance, drama and Broadway musicals, and partnerships with local and overseas arts groups to create key programs.
