This morning, the Pinglu Canal, the backbone project for a new land and sea corridor in the west, was officially opened to traffic. Along with the opening of the Pinglu Canal, two new cargo routes have also set sail in both directions, namely the Nanning-Vietnam Can Tho foreign trade route and the Nanning-Hainan Yangpu domestic trade route. Today, 30 cargo ships are passing through the flat land canal. Nanning Port and Qinzhou Port are focusing on carrying out the first cargo operation. The cargo mainly consists of two major categories: containers and bulk cargo. The cargo covers materials such as building materials, coal, minerals, steel, and chemical fertilizers. On the day of navigation, four passenger water routes were opened simultaneously.
