Euro Area's Annual Labor Costs Up 3.1% in Q2

05:11 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hourly labor costs in the eurozone increased 3.1% year over year in the second quarter, compared with the revised 3.3% gain in the prior three-month period, Eurostat said Wednesday. Analysts expected 3% growth for the month. Meanwhile, wages and salaries in the region climbed 3% on an annual basis, against the 3.4% increase earlier.
