Infineon Technologies Co., Ltd. will sell a special memory chip business to Taiwan Huabang Electronics Co., Ltd. in an all-cash transaction of US$1.12 billion. Infineon said in a statement on Wednesday that the deal covers its NOR flash memory and F-RAM business, and related products are aimed at customers in the automotive, industrial and infrastructure markets. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2027. Infineon said it will continue to provide other storage products, including high-reliability storage solutions for space missions.
