Argentine Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno said on the 15th that relations between Argentina and China are currently in a “very good” period. While attending the National Day reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan in the capital Buenos Aires on the 15th, Quirno said that the Argentine government is making efforts to expand market and trade openness. During this period, the Chinese government provided Argentina with important support such as renewing the bilateral local currency exchange agreement. Quirno stressed that the Argentine government strictly abides by the one-China principle and thanks the Chinese side for supporting Argentina's legitimate claim for sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands.
