We learned from Tsinghua University that on September 17, 2026, Li Yi, head of the Department of Astronomy at Tsinghua University, published a study online in “Nature Astronomy”, using the “China Sky Eye” FAST and the US Carl Yonsky Very Large Array to jointly observe the Andromeda Galaxy, identify 118 neutral hydrogen superbubbles, and directly estimate the long-term kinetic energy input of the supernova starting from the “bubbles blown out” of these supernovae explosions, proving that it is sufficient to compensate for the dissipation of neutral hydrogen turbulence in M31.
