07:38 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- KNDS is considering further postponing its initial public offering to beyond 2026, as its advisers noted the underperformance of listed defense companies in the stock market, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter. The European land defense group's 50% owner, the Wegmann family, will instead focus on divesting up to a 40% KNDS stake to the German government in the next weeks, the report noted, adding that the negotiations are ongoing, and the IPO timing could still change depending on market conditions. In June, KNDS announced plans to list on the Paris and Frankfurt bourses, but paused the process in July as shareholders intended to wait for "more favorable market conditions." KNDS did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
