The Trump administration has granted visas for senior Iranian officials, including President Pezzahizyan and Foreign Minister Alagach, to attend next week's high-level meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York, even though the two countries are still at war. The State Council said on Thursday that it has approved visas for Iran's “core delegation” and necessary workers. According to an anonymous US official, the core delegation included President Masood Pezechizyan and Foreign Minister Abbas Aragach. The statement said that according to the host country's obligations, the Iranian regime's core delegation will be able to attend the General Assembly High Level Week, but will be subject to travel restrictions and face a ban on buying luxury goods and other goods according to policy. The size of the delegation is smaller than last year.
