According to the CITIC Construction Investment Securities Research Report, European gas prices continued to rise. On September 10, 2026, the Dutch gas futures settlement price rose to 82 euros/megawatt-hour, an increase of 147.7% year-on-year and 14.3% month-on-month. The continued rise in gas prices in Europe is mainly affected by factors such as the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran and the blockage of transportation in the Strait of Hormuz. In terms of inventories, Europe's recent gas inventory level was about 65.83%, a year-on-year decrease of about 12.7 percentage points, the lowest level in recent years. With the arrival of the winter heating season, the EU's more rigid demand for stock replenishment may push LNG prices in Europe and Asia further upward.
