Pentagon and Lockheed Martin Move to Accelerate AIM-260 Missile Production

The Pentagon and Lockheed Martin ($LMT) announced a framework agreement to expand production capacity for the AIM-260 Joint Advanced Tactical Missile, establishing a path toward future multi-year procurement of the next-generation air-to-air weapon.

• The AIM-260, also known as JATM, is being developed for Air Force and Navy aircraft and is designed for integration with the F-22, F-35, F-16 and F-15.
• The Air Force and Navy are seeking $2.9 billion for JATM development and procurement in fiscal 2027, up from $894 million this fiscal year.
