UK's Softcat to Acquire US-based GDT for $1.05 Billion

12:06 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Softcat (SCT.L) agreed to acquire GDT Topco, a US-based multi-vendor IT solutions provider, at an enterprise value of $1.05 billion. The IT infrastructure technology and services company said Thursday that the acquisition is consistent with its strategy to bolster its service offerings and customer base in the US. It will be funded through a mix of cash, new debt facilities and net proceeds from a new equity issue. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to applicable regulatory approvals.
