Recently, BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. and BYD Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Administration of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products” and “Implementation Measures on the Administration of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products”. Some vehicles covered by this recall have abnormal batchability of brake pedal limit pad materials due to manufacturing issues. After prolonged use, the stop pads may crack and break. In extreme cases, the limit pad falls off, causing the brake light to stay on when the brake pedal is not depressed, sending an incorrect signal to the rear, which poses a safety hazard. BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. and BYD Auto Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers to replace improved limit pads free of charge for vehicles covered by the recall to eliminate potential safety hazards. Since some vehicles have previously replaced the improved limit pads, there is no need to replace this part of the vehicle in this recall.
