On September 14-16, the 2026 G-20 Energy Abundance Ministers Meeting was held in Houston, USA. Wang Jianbo, Deputy Director of China's National Energy Administration, attended the conference and delivered a speech. China said that in the face of current global energy security challenges, we must fully respect the sovereignty of natural resources and carry out resource cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefit; fully respect countries' national conditions and resource endowments and independently choose energy development models; practice true multilateralism, create an open, fair and non-discriminatory cooperation environment, jointly maintain the stability of the global energy industry chain supply chain, and work together to move towards a safer, greener, inclusive and sustainable energy future. The meeting adopted results such as the “G20 Energy Ministers Statement on Promoting Accessible Clean Cooking”, “G20 Water Reuse Initiative”, and “G20 Energy Abundance Working Group Key Minerals Communiqué”. During the meeting, the Chinese side also had exchanges with delegations from the United Kingdom and other member states.
