Recently, a research report released by Morgan Stanley indicates that the potential market size of consumer-side AI monetizable revenue in China will expand from about 54 billion yuan in 2026 to 294 billion yuan in 2030. Among them, transaction commissions are about 281 billion yuan, advertising is about 10 billion yuan, subscriptions and pay-per-view payments are about 3 billion yuan, and the total advertising and transaction commissions account for about 99%. Under the long-term benchmark scenario, the market size is expected to reach about 1.6 trillion yuan in 2040. Morgan Stanley said that technology companies such as Tencent and Alibaba are directly embedding artificial intelligence into everyday applications to push China to lead the US in popularizing consumer AI. According to the bank's survey, 80% of Chinese respondents use AI for personal use at least every week, compared to 54% of US respondents; among employed respondents, 77% use AI at work at least every week in China, and 54% in the US. Morgan Stanley believes that AI will further widen the advertising budget gap between platforms, push leading platforms deeper into the commercial workflow, and free up more room for commercial growth.
