A general station reporter learned from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Natural Resources that in the early morning of September 19, there was a sudden mudslide near the Shijiagou Tunnel in Zhiliuhe Village, Gesala Township, Yanbian County, Panzhihua City, Sichuan. After the disaster occurred, the Geological Survey and Management Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources initiated a level-IV response for geological disaster prevention, and the Sichuan Geological Disaster Prevention and Control Headquarters initiated a provincial level-3 emergency response for geological disasters. The Sichuan Provincial Department of Natural Resources dispatched natural resources authorities in Panzhihua City and Yanbian County to guide rapid emergency treatment, and dispatched expert teams to the scene. At present, natural resources authorities in Panzhihua City and Yanbian County have mobilized 7 vehicles and 30 professional and technical personnel to arrive at the disaster site with 6 sets of drones and other professional equipment. They are carrying out emergency investigations, monitoring, early warning, and investigation of hidden hazards, delineate dangerous areas, assist in field personnel control, and provide technical support for emergency and disaster relief.
