After the broadcast of the program, Qinghe County in Hebei Province attached great importance to the issues indicated in the report and organized inspections and rectification as soon as possible. In response to reports that some local sales stores refer to “wool” as “cashmere” and are suspected of misleading consumers, Qinghe County stated that it will further strengthen merchant education and guidance, urge them to promote products in strict accordance with national standards, and resolutely avoid misleading publicity. At the same time, the local market supervision bureau and the cashmere industry integrated service center will step up sampling efforts on merchants and strictly implement them in accordance with current national standards to ensure proper use of product labeling.
