The Hebei Provincial Bureau of Statistics released data. In January-August, the value added of industries above the scale of the province increased by 5.0% year-on-year. Looking at the three major categories, the value added of the mining industry increased by 2.5%, the manufacturing industry grew by 5.8%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 2.6%. By type of economy, the value added of state-owned enterprises increased by 0.6%; joint-stock enterprises increased by 4.8%; foreign-invested enterprises, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan grew by 9.5%; and private enterprises increased by 7.4%. By enterprise size, the value added of large enterprises increased by 4.5%, medium-sized enterprises increased by 3.6%, and small enterprises increased by 7.1%. By industry, out of 40 major industry categories with industrial statistics above scale, 28 industries achieved growth, with a growth rate of 70.0%. Among them, the added value of the instrument manufacturing industry increased by 49.3%, the non-ferrous metal ore mining and selection industry by 22.8%, the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry by 14.6%, the railway ship, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry by 10.5%, and the automobile manufacturing industry by 8.7%.
