On September 21, local time, the latest data from the Congolese National Institute of Public Health shows that up to now, the country has reported a cumulative total of 7,672 confirmed cases in the current Ebola outbreak, including 3,699 deaths, and a case fatality rate of 48.2%. Currently, 1,879 patients have recovered, and 886 others are being hospitalized or treated in isolation. The outbreak has now spread to 63 health districts in 7 provinces of the country, including Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, Haut-Uélé, Chopo, Bas-Uélé and South Ubangi.
